Job Description

As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for the incorporation of markups for substation design projects for electric utilities utilizing drafting software. Every individual is responsible for producing a high quality work product while fostering a high level of client satisfaction. Responsibilities include drafting markups in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, utilizing raster design software and backchecking work for completeness and accuracy. Candidate should be proficient in MS Office suite, AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Various levels of experience desired with positions open from entry level through experienced.

Entry Level (Job Req #2023CD0401) Qualifications

• 0+ years experience
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of basic drafting principles
• Ability to read engineer and designer markups and translate to CAD file per client standards

Experienced Level (Job Req #2023CD4002) Qualifications

• 4+ years experience
• Knowledge of advanced drafting principles
• Ability to mentor experienced drafters
• Experience with drafting related to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams required
• Experience with drafting electrical substation layouts preferred
• Experience with visual basic or comparable programming preferred
• Experience with scaled drawings required
• Candidate may have direct contact with clients, strong communication skills required
